| ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION |
|
B.TECH DEGREE COURSE - The students whose names are placed on the merit list of the successful candidates of the Joint Entrance Exam . for Engineering and Technological Colleges of West Bengal and passed
H.S.(10+2) exam with Math, Physics and Chemistry.
TWO YEARS ADVANCED
CERTIFICATE COURSE - Madhyamik pass.
M.TECH DEGREE COURSE - B. Tech / B.Sc. (Tech) degree in Leather Technology.
SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR CANDIDATES BELONGING TO SCHEDULED CASTES / SCHEDULED TRIBES –
1. 22 percent of total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 6 percent for Scheduled tribes.
2. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are eligible for admission to the reserved seats if they attain the minimum standard of qualification prescribed for admission. Such candidates should submit a certificate signed a certificate signed by the District Magistrate or any other appropriate authority determined by the Government starting that he/she belongs to one of the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes recognized by the Government of India, and a citizen of India.

| RESERVATION
OF SEATS |
|
Some seats are kept reserved by the Ministry of Education Govt. of India for foreign students, students for other states and union territories .
Nominated candidates against reserved seats from different states from should pass the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular securing at least 60% marks in agreegate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

| APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION |
|
Candidates who reach qualifying standard at the written test will be offered admission by the Central Selection Committee in order of merit, subject to their medical fitness.
Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form of the College available at the time of selection for admission. No application will be accepted by the college unless it bears the registration number allotted by the Board.

| MEDICAL
EXAMINATION |
|
Candidates selected for admission will be required to produce a certificate of fitness from a registered Medical practitioner in the prescribed form. Medically unfit candidates will not be admitted.
The following documents/papers listed below are required to be submitted to the College Office at new campus on the reporting date-
1. The College Admission Form dully filled in with a passport-size photograph (attested) pasted on it.
2. A certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed form.
3. The Admit Card of Secondary, Higher Secondary Examination or proof of age in original and two attested copies of the same.
4. A character certificate from the Headmaster of the School / Principal of the college from where he/she last attended.
5. If the candidate is seeking admission to a reserved seat, a certificate from the District Magistrate or
S.D.O. to the effect of the candidate’s belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Tribe.
6. Marksheet of the Board or University examination, showing the detailed marks in all subjects of qualifying examination on the basis of which admission is being sought, original and attested 2 copies.

| DELAY IN JOINING THE COLLEGE |
|
A Student shall have to join the College on the date of admission or date of commencement of classes, as notified, otherwise his/her admission will stand automatically cancelled. However, a student, unable to attend the classes for valid reason or on medical grounds, must send an application for leave, countersigned by the guardian along with a medical certificate praying for consideration.
REMOVAL FROM THE COLLEGE ROLLS
If a student’s performance in studies, class attendance etc. are found to be unsatisfactory he/she may not be permitted to continue. Students considered to be unsuitable owing to ill health, poor attendance, misconduct or other reasons which the College authority may deem fit for removal from the College are liable to be removed. Students who fail to get promotion at the end of the session will have to apply for re-admission.

| HOSTEL ACCOMODATION FOR MALE STUDENT |
|
1. The College provides hostel accommodation for the students.
2. Those who desire accommodation in hostel should submit application to the Principal well in advance after their selection for admission to the college. The accommodation, however, will depend upon the availability of seats in the hostels. Otherwise, they have to stay at their own arrangement.
3. All students residing in the hostels are compulsorily required to take meals from their respective Hostel Mess.
4. Students residence in the hostel should provide themselves with necessary beddings including mosquito nets, sufficient clothings etc.
